Local

To share the “living water” Jesus Christ offers with thousands of people locally through our campuses, with the goal of seeing 1,000 new people make a spiritual decision to follow Christ in the next 3 years.

John 4:14 Jesus said, “…the water I give them takes away thirst altogether. It becomes a perpetual spring within them, giving them eternal life.”

The Cost

Crossroads has seen significant growth in the past 18 years. We’ve seen average attendance go from under 100 in 1992 to averaging over 2,000 people last year. Since moving into the Woodbury campus and launching our other campus in Eagan a little over a year ago, we’ve seen a hefty 35% growth in members and attendees.

The better news is that literally hundreds of new people have opened their lives to Christ and have begun to follow him.

With that kind of growth comes the need for additional space/buildings which, incidentally, have not come cheaply (over 8 million between the 2 campuses). To continue to reach out to thousands more we must reduce the debt load from our recent expansions. As of today, additional new campus expansion or expansion at current campuses has been put on hold.

Therefore, in order to position ourselves to make greater ripples in the future we’d like to raise a minimum of 3.5 million over the next 3 years to be applied to our mortgage/debt load. This will enable us to:
  • Save millions of dollars in interest over the span of our mortgage.
  • Re-direct weekly giving/offerings toward reaching out to new people and ministering to those in our church family.

The Bottom Line

The Ripple Effect really isn’t about debt reduction or soccer fields/gardens/fountains or providing wells in Africa. It’s about sharing living water with a thirsty world. That’s why we reduce debt, build buildings, dig wells, etc…so more and more people can be impacted by Christ’s love.

Let the one who serves serve in the strength which God supplies that in everything God may get the glory through Jesus Christ.
